ABOUT OPERATION SNOWBALL

Operation Snowball (OS) is an international youth program that empowers students to become leaders in their schools and communities. Through prevention education, community advocacy, and leadership development, students learn how to make positive choices — and how to inspire their peers to do the same.
At its heart, Operation Snowball is about connection, courage, and change. It gives young people the tools and confidence to speak up, take action, and make a difference.
Why It Matters
Teens face tough choices every day — about friends, stress, mental health, and substance use. Operation Snowball helps young people understand those challenges and equips them to make safe, healthy decisions.
By building confidence, resilience, and leadership skills, Snowball participants become powerful voices for prevention and positive change. They don’t just make better choices — they help others do the same.
What Operation Snowball Offers

Access to special events — including the Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute and Snowball mid-year workshops, where participants can connect with youth leaders from across Illinois.
Opportunities to plan student-led events — students use their creativity to design projects that promote wellness and prevention in their school or community.
